Need of CSR in Education
We are one of the largest education systems in the world with over 250 million students studying across 1.5 million schools; this itself makes us accountable to maintain the quality of education in the schools.
The need to create social impact through education projects is crucial. Social Return of Investment can be met by addressing the education needs which comprises through varied reasons. There is a dire need of quality education along with qualified educators. Beside infrastructural needs of an academic institution our nation is already facing learning crisis at Foundation level.

The Priority
Education projects in CSR are the topmost priority for the fundamental growth of the nation, to address the needs that bring the tangible outcomes, to name a few:

Project on Life- Skills Larsen & Toubro
Project UMANG is an activity resource centre designed with the aim of providing a holistic learning environment for children. The L&T’s CSR Philosophy is to help them acquire proficiency in activities that are outside the normal curriculum of the school.
It is one such initiative taken by L&T in consultation with D-Square Solution where they provide teaching assistance, train teachers and students, and organize during school life-skill program classes.
Implementation of STEM Labs and Digital Infrastructures GIPCL
As a pilot project the Tech-Class and MAST learning labs were installed in the primary school, village Mosali, Mangrol Taluka and receiving the encouraging accolades and experiencing the positive attitude among the students and the teachers it was later installed in other three schools of village Mangrol, Dungri and Harsani.
Further installations were done in Village Nava Bhaga and Village Luna in Valia Taluka in Bharuch district.
Workshop on Planetary Sciences - Planetarium Larsen & Toubro
The recent conducted workshop on Planetarium helped students to understand the methodology to study planetary sciences. It made them aware that the cosmology study is not limited to your labs and books; it’s being upgraded to a virtual walk-through dome. The 3D astronomical simulators will ensure educators that the curriculum meets the next generation science standard levels.
The workshop was conducted at Kushalbhai Vallabhbhai Sarvajanik High School, Kharel.
